Welcome to the 2026 Extender Series, where you get to develop and represent the Wellington ‘Black and Gold’ (Pango and Kowhai) colours.

2026 season will aim to be bigger and better for all involved with some refinements to take the series to another level. The refinements will allow our elite coaches to work with all athletes and ensure closer detail to ‘age and stage’ development and team preparation for competition(s).
If you want to trial for our top teams then please turn up to the dates on the 18th and 19th. ALL ages first Extender session is the 1st November.
Extender sessions and key dates:
*2 x Trials will allow WTA coaches to group 12s and 14s tamariki by age and stage.
- 18th Oct: Extender Session 1: Trial One. 12s = 10.00am-11.30am; 14s = 11.30am-1.00pm *10s = 9am -10am no trial straight into fundamentals and games
- 19th Oct: Extender Session 1.1: Trial Two. 12s 4pm-5.30pm; 14s = 5.30pm-7.00pm *10s not required.
- 29th Oct: Teams/grouping will be emailed so teams will be ready to go on the 1st Nov (check start times below)
- 1st Nov: Extender session two (Skills/Games/Teamwork/Fitness) all 10s, 12s, 14s
- 5th Nov: Any final teams named
- 8th Nov: Extender session three (Skills/Games/Teamwork/Fitness) all 10s, 12s, 14s
- 15th Nov: Extender session four (Skills/Games/Teamwork/Fitness) all 10s, 12s, 14s
- TBC Nov: TOURNAMENT - Whanganui Tournament for just 12s and14s Pango teams
- 22nd Nov: Extender sessions five (Skills/Games/Teamwork/Fitness) all 10s, Kowhai 12s, 14s
- TBC Nov: TOURNAMENT - Wgtn Invitational Tournament – all 10s, 12s, 14s
- 6th Dec: Catch up with coaches attending P North Tournament
- 13th Dec: Extender session Six (Skills/Games/Teamwork/Fitness) 12s and 14s *last training for Kowhai teams
- 19th Dec: TOURNAMENT - Palmerston North Tournament for Pango 12s and 14s
- 20th Dec: Prizegiving for all (Venue: Stop Out Clubrooms, Hutt Park. Time: 5pm start)
SESSION TIMES FOR 1st NOV ONWARDS:
- U10's : 9.00am to 10.00am
- U12's and U14’s Kowhai Development players/teams: 10.00am to 11.30am
- U12’s and U14’s Pango Premier players/teams: 11.30am to 1.00pm
- *Tournament times etc will be communicated at a later date
Extender Series Venue: Hutt Park, Seaview times above
Tournaments: Boys/Girls/Mixed teams
- The Whanganui and Palmerston North tournaments will have an extra cost of $30.00 per tournament
- The Wellington Invitational (cost: TBC)
WTA Grading Chart
In registering please work out which age/grade is correct for you by referring to the list below:
- Born 2018 => Under 10
- Born 2017 => Under 10
- Born 2016 => Under 12
- Born 2015 => Under 12
- Born 2014 => Under 14
- Born 2013 => Under 14
Wellington Touch Extender Tee: We will be asking you for your size in this form (they are a snug fit so you may want to size up). They will be given out on November 2nd upon confirmation of registration. *If you have one from 2025 and do not require a new one please state this on the option in the form.
COST: $70pp or for a family of 2 or more $60pp (tournaments are an extra cost $30 each). *If you already have an extender tee from 2025 the cost is $50pp

Payments made MUST include the players name and the ExSeries (i.e. Tom Flynn, ExSeries) please add in 'FAM' in the reference if you are paying as a family. This will ensure money is allocated against the correct player.
- Participants are expected to attend the Extender Series dates to receive the full benefits and to be eligible to enter into our Tournaments. *We understand that dual commitments may arise – for our Premier teams (Pango), there will be a requirement to make all trainings and tournaments.
